Two pairs of earrings that refer to folk songs

Shakudo, the Japanese alloy that is a sort of bronze with a dash of gold in it, goes black and stays black. It’s not much good up against the skin (too coppery and potentially irritating), but perfect for earrings. These earrings refer to British folk songs.

The Twa Corbies is an old Scots ballad about two crows. Click on the link to hear Maddy Prior singing it.

The Bonny Black Hare is possibly the naughtiest song in the English folk repertoire. Again, Maddy Prior, but this time with Fairport Convention. I couldn’t resist making Black Hare earrings.
