I had fun doing these designs for pendants with a Japanese brush fountain-pen. I’ll probably never use any of them, but the more images I create of jewels in my mind, the more resources I have when it comes to actually making something.

I popped the brush into the scanner – here it is:

This ring is an experiment at combining wax impressions into a carving. First I carved a bee seal and took six impressions. Then I cut a ring out of wax with six matched gaps, and fused the bees into place. It produces a very comfortable and quite striking ring. It’s a large size, intended as a man’s ring.

Here are four rings I have made recently with animal faces on one shoulder and human faces or masks on the other. Do remember that the actual things are ring-size. Click on the images to see them bigger.
