Making a Reliquary

The client wanted a Coptic feel, and the image of a Coptic angel was important. There had to be a hidden space, which would have a see-through window which could cover the hidden object/s. I found a nice chequer-cut for the window, and carved a suitably galactic-looking piece of lapis lazuli for the angel’s face. The rest is paua shell inlay.
