A second pair of mother of pearl earrings with lapis inlay. Perhaps a theme is starting to develop.

Earrings: silver, mother of pearl, lapis lazuli.

Here they are life-size:

I got some old mother of pearl fruit-fork handles. The material is still in perfect preservation, after a hundred years or so. Here is the first finished piece made using the mother of pearl.

There’s a second pair in the same idiom here

I really like angels, although I don’t ‘believe in’ them. This cabochon blue lace agate suggested the sky, and seemed to want an angel presiding over it.

It started as a quick sketch on a block of wax.

And it the end I got this somewhat pensive angel. The head is about the size of a pea.

Here are four rings that play with the trope of the signet ring by using more than one stone. The idea is to get a play of colour and light onto the hand. These are just quick snaps with the iPhone. I’ll post better ones when I get the better camera going.

Here are some rings which I made using large shapes of lapis lazuli that I cut for the purpose. The large geometric and symbol-suggesting shapes create a striking effect on the hand. They would look good in a high-fashion environment or with jeans.
